Decided to do Goat-Man as a painting. Don't know tho, something isn't right. Eh.

Don't Pet Burning Dogs, Even If They're Not Burning
I don't know what inspired this image of a man bending down to pet an unidentifiable creature, but these are the sketches for it:
And this is the final product; acrylic paint and charcoal on a 12"x12" panel.
I really like the way this turned out. The canvas texture on the panel gave the charcoal almost a halftone appearance.

Dance, damnit
Everybody dance! This guy is a frame test for a top secret project I'm working on. More details to come (possibly).

Potato Monster
Unfortunately, I was too busy today to really draw, so I present Potato Man in place of my daily doodle. He's not really supposed to be a potato (that would just be silly), but that's what he looks like to me. He's your typical lumbering beast who hides in abandoned school yards, looking for the occasional lost wonderer to stumble upon him in a dark, shadow filled hallway.
And I think those are dreadlocks.

Wood Panels
The art store not too far from my apartment was having a sale on these tiny wood blocks, so I purchased a few to try out. They each measure about 3"x5", 1" deep. So, I threw some quirky little guys on.
Ink and Gesso on wood. By the time I got to Eyebrows I got the hang of controlling the ink bleeding; I guess I should get some more and do some more guys. I don't know what is up with this style of simple-shaped-body-people and why I enjoy doing it so much.

Introducing...
Here are some quick character sketches I did last night while listening to music.
This first one was done while listening to Audible Piff; I was going for some sort of post-apocalyptic kingpin look.
And here's goat-man; he despises much, including the cheapness of the champagne he's trying to enjoy. Done while listening to Air. Seems like a Jonathan Lethem character.
